Disney's Upcoming Motion Films

Disney is launching several films in cinemas and on its Disney+ streaming service. These films include family-friendly sequels to live-action remakes of legendary cartoon masterpieces. This week, the business modified its release timetable for future motion movies from its various studios. Scroll down to view all of the upcoming releases for next year!

The Little Mermaid will be remade in live-action by Disney and released in theaters next year. The picture stars Halle Bailey (Grown-ish, The Color Purple) as Ariel, a mermaid princess who strikes a bargain with a sea witch to become human so she may experience life on land and fall in love with a man.

Jonah Hauer-King plays Prince Eric in the film, while Melissa McCarthy plays Ursula in Bridesmaids. Oscar winner Javier Bardem plays King Triton, Hamilton Tony winner Daveed Diggs plays Sebastian, Room's Jacob Tremblay plays Flounder, and Crazy Rich Asians breakthrough Awkwafina plays Scuttle.

The next live-action adaptation, Aladdin, is based on the iconic animation masterpiece. Guy Ritchie directed the film, which stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Jasmine. We follow Aladdin as he discovers a magical lamp and meets Princess Jasmine in this rough rendition of Arabian Nights (Naomi Scott). Only after she unintentionally releases a larger-than-life genie does he learn to value himself fully.

The film has a fantastic score by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, as well as fresh recordings of the songs. It also features a virtual magic carpet ride and a delightful interactive 3D tour of the Genie's lamp on DVD.

The Lion King, Disney's 32nd animated picture, transports you deep into the African wilderness. It depicts the narrative of Simba, a brave little cub destined to become King of the Jungle. The film is one of the most profitable animated pictures of all time. It has a cast of realistic animal creatures and music by Elton John and Hans Zimmer.

The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Finding Dory is the follow-up to the 2014 popular animated film Finding Nemo. Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres) is reunited with her buddies Nemo and Marlin on a hunt for her family.

The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, who also co-wrote the original. The film also has a score by Thomas Newman, who has worked on films such as Skyfall, The Help, and WALL-E. Although the plot does not attempt to outwit Finding Nemo, this fish-out-of-water journey is full of emotional depth and intriguing characters. It's a big triumph for Disney Pixar.

In Disney's latest swashbuckling adventure, down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feels the winds of misfortune blowing heavily in his direction. He must now search for the mythical Trident of Poseidon while navigating a dangerous sea with the help of a clever and attractive astronomer and a brave young man in the British navy. Johnny Depp reprises his role as the swashbuckling antihero Jack Sparrow. He joins a powerful cast that includes Javier Bardem as the wicked Captain Salazar and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa.

The first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX, the ninth and final installment in the Skywalker saga, has been published by Disney. The plot revolves around the Resistance's battle against the wicked First Order, commanded by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and the Galactic Empire. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Billy Dee Williams, and Naomi Ackie also star. J.J. Abrams is directing and co-writing the script.

The Haunted Mansion is one of Disney's most popular attractions. It has been around for almost 50 years and is regarded as a classic. The attraction will be adapted into a film in 2023, with a cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Jared Leto, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Gabbie (Dawson) is a single mother who moves into a New Orleans house and finds its lengthy history of hauntings. To exorcise her home, she enlists the assistance of tour guides, a priest, and a historian.
